We are excited to announce that with the help of our community of customers, we were able to raise $5,656.18 for the Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre ($3,353.28 at North and $1,720 at Battery Park on the National day for Truth and Reconciliation, and $582.90 from book donations in our taprooms). These donations were used for the Friendship Centre’s Christmas Cheer Program, which helps sponsor families through the holiday season (these funds will be put towards the purchase of gifts, food items, and clothing.
We have a few copies of Living Treaties by Marie Battiste left in the taprooms (available by suggested donation), with all donations going directly to the Friendship Centre. Many thanks again to all who have come out to support!
